    Although there was a brief silence after Ositadimma had left,Azubuike and his wife began to blame themselves over the issue.
   "What are we going to do now?",Azubuike asked while trying to touch his dear wife.
    "Eh!,leave me alone.(Biko hapu mu aka).I told you that Nnenna must be upto something .I knew she had skeleton in her cupboard.That was the major reason I insisted in the first place to remain in Ojiofoeme's shrine until he reveals to me what that wretched witch  was upto but you refused,saying that I must not do that because of the minor issue you had with him.Oh!,how can this happen?.After all necessary arranagements I made to ensure that this never happened"

   Azubuike and his wife were not happy because,their  rivalry is to be the richest family of Agumba's extended family.They have bad been hustling and bustling,visiting different native doctors,making rituals in order to prevent Osita from having a child.Moreover,their native doctor,while doing his incantations,had said that Ositadimma's children will be very successful,even from their childhood.He said the children would be the light of the entire Agumba's extended family.That was the reason why Azubuike had been working so hard in order to avert the prophecy.Nnenna had before delivery,gone through several miscarriages before the birth of her dear daughter.

    Meanwhile.Azubuike and his wife had eight children consisting of six girls and two boys;Julliet,Ifeoma,Nneka ,Chidi,Nkiru,Ogochukwu,Ikenna and Otito respectively.All of them were into business except the last born,Otito.The five girls were already married while the two boys are bachelors.For this reason,Azubuike who had all these wouldn't like his brother to have his own children so that he can rule over him despite the fact that he is his senior brother.
   Ebele rushed in and fumbled out a talisman,a locally made pomade.This pomade was believed to have mysterious powers that could disastrously eliminate a whole nation if used with appropriate incantations.She enunciated queer incantations with a grimace,before she violently massaged the pomade all over her hands,frantically.Her face showered exuberance of atheistic deed.The pomade was specially prepared by Ojiofoeme,their native doctor.She rubbed it in order to inflict harm on the baby.
   Relative to the wife's intention,Azubuike on his own,inspired with exuberance,his forehead crinkled,showing violence and wickedness,banged inside the house and started speaking to his charm in order to attack Nnenna but incidentally,as it may please God,arrangement had already been made by Osita ,inviting a pastor to pray continuously for his wife and the new baby.
     Was Azubuike was trajecting his charm towards his target,all of a coincidence,the pastor was praying for them.Azubuike tried harder but to no avail.His target remained adamant.This made him fade up to the extent that what he normally does with ease is now becoming a hard nut to crack.All his mischievous endeavours to mesmerise the woman was a white elephant task,breeding excruciating pains upon him.
    "Oh gosh!,there must really be a blunder somewhere".he quizzicalled.
    He grabbed his monitoring mirror and began to command it.Osita's face appeared on the mirror,including the others.Azubuike noticed a pastor praying for them.
   He seemed to be someone he knew before.Azubuike flashed back and recalled that the pastor,Rev.Pastor Andrew was the assistant to the pastor of the church he attends before he got married to Ebele,how God had been making use of him,performing wonders and miracles through him.
     "Okay,you again?.You are praying for them?",he rhetorically asked and ordered a charm to beget the pastor.The charm went as fast as ever,like a missile,towards the man of God.On trying to pour the charm on the mirror so that it would affect the pastor,the man of God shouted the name of Jesus Christ and the mirror chattered into fragments,even the louvres in his room began to shake in loud noise.Out of frightening,Azubuike began to tremble because,everywhere was shaking.He managed to stagger out of the room and headed down to the hospital where he met his wife.
